Who we are, what we do

AI agents do the analysis. Experts validate it.

SHIFTLABS is an AI transformation platform, run by a data and AI consultant with domain experts engaged for each assignment. In two weeks, we find where AI will save your teams time; then you steer the rollout in an online cockpit.

  1. 01

    We interview your teams

Léa, our interview agent, asks your people about the work they actually do. She introduces herself as an AI and never assesses individuals.

You receive: A map of the real work

  2. 02

We quantify what AI can do

Each task is measured in time spent, then each use case is scored on impact, feasibility and cost.

You receive: Prioritised, quantified use cases

  3. 03

    An expert validates every deliverable

The agents produce drafts. An expert reviews and signs them off: nothing reaches you without that signature.

    You receive: Validated conclusions

  4. 04

    You steer from the cockpit

Roadmap, estimated gains and adoption are tracked in an online cockpit, updated as the rollout progresses.

You receive: The roadmap and its tracking

Act I

What we do

AI agents carry out the analytical work across the whole company; human experts validate every deliverable before it reaches you.

The flow

Your data goes in.A validated deliverable comes out.

AI agents handle the analytical volume; a senior consultant validates every deliverable. The flow is colour-coded: at each step, you know who does what, and where human judgement takes over.

Three sources, cross-checked

Real work is invisible. We measure it, at scale, by cross-checking three sources.

In a typical week, which tasks take up most of your time without creating value?

Re-entering orders between the ERP and the supplier portal, every morning.

How many orders a day, and how many minutes for each one?

Illustrative excerpt from a guided interview

What teams declare, what statistics measure, what observation records. When they converge, the figure is solid; when they diverge, that is already a finding. No black box: every signal is traceable and presented in the executive committee readout.

Declared · at scale

Interview guided by an AI agent

AI agents conduct semi-structured interviews (30–45 min) with all the teams concerned: not a sample, every role. Work as it is experienced, not as it is described in a workshop.

What it reveals
  • Invisible frictions & workarounds
  • Actual split of tasks by role
  • Perceived workload, at task level

Measured · the whole team

Quantitative questionnaire

Five minutes, for 100% of the workforce: time split across six task families, volumes handled, perceived strain. Where the interview digs deeper, the questionnaire provides the statistics.

What it reveals
  • Time split by department
  • Gap between what is experienced and what is assumed

Observed · work sampling

Actual time measurement

Two to three one-click questions a day, for two weeks. Hundreds of observations that give the actual split of time, with its margin of error: independent of anyone’s memory.

What it reveals
  • Time actually spent, not estimated
  • Margin of error calculated and displayed

These three sources are active from day one, without installing anything on your side. For wider scopes, two optional sources can be added via connector: process mining from your application logs and usage telemetry, enabled with your IT department’s agreement.

Act II

What we can do for you

Five steps, from mapping real work to adoption tracked over time. Each one produces a deliverable, and each one has its own screen in your cockpit.

The journey, step by step

Five sequenced steps. Each deliverable is quantified, validated by an expert and communicated without jargon. First agent in production from week 2.

Act III

Why it is reliable

Nothing reaches you without being reviewed by an expert. Here is who validates, how, what sets us apart from the alternatives, and what happens to your data.

Review before delivery

Review is driven by risk: the AI covers the volume and self-checks routine work; the expert reads every deliverable and focuses their analysis on the high-stakes points: prioritisation, costing, roadmap. The throughput of a platform. The judgement of a senior consultant. That is what sets us apart from “AI-only” offerings.

  1. Step 1

    Agent draft

The AI agent produces — Analysis at scale, structured, reproducible. Volume without compromise.

  2. Step 2

    Expert review

The consultant checks — Methodological verification, sector context, anomaly detection.

  3. Step 3

    Validated

Human judgement decides — The senior consultant signs off every deliverable before delivery.

  4. Step 4

    Delivered to client

Nothing without validation — The client receives only deliverables that an expert has reviewed and validated.

Zero unvalidated deliverables. Every deliverable is reviewed and validated by a senior consultant before delivery.

Nothing ships without an expert’s sign-off.

Who validates your deliverables

Every deliverable is reviewed by the founder of SHIFTLABS, a data and AI consultant, and, depending on the scope, by a practitioner of the business function concerned, engaged per assignment and named in the proposal.

Who

The founder of SHIFTLABS, a data and AI consultant, and, depending on the scope, a practitioner of the business function concerned: finance, supply chain, data or human resources.

How

The expert is engaged per assignment, under contract, and named in the proposal: you know who reviews before you sign.

Before any delivery

Every deliverable is reviewed and signed off by its validator. Nothing is delivered without that signature.

No expert is cited on this site without their written consent.

What sets us apart

Neither a static consulting report, nor an AI without safeguards.

Compared with traditional consulting and 100% AI offerings, SHIFTLABS combines the throughput of agents with the judgement of an expert. Here is what that changes, in concrete terms.

Act IV

What you gain

A real engagement, its figures and its tipping point: what the method produces, measured rather than promised.

Case study: our first reference engagement

Accounting firm · France 6 agents. 1,337 h/year. 4-month payback.

A firm facing high-frequency repetitive tasks. We mapped, quantified and automated: in 2 weeks, with human validation at every step.

Estimated figures, anonymised client

BEFORE

A time-consuming daily routine, with no leverage

  • Duplicate Excel entry and reprocessing: 3 to 4 h/day per employee
  • Bank reconciliation and FEC matching done by hand
  • Review files prepared on non-standardised processes
  • No visibility on the actual workload or on the room for manoeuvre available
AFTER

1,337 h/year identified, estimated payback of 4 months

  • 6 AI agents in production covering reconciliation, FEC matching and file summaries
  • 1,337 automatable hours identified and validated (≈ 191 days · 7 h/day basis)
  • Estimated annual value: ~€60k, internal build cost: ~€14k
  • Estimated payback of 4 months, based on the value of freed-up time; teams refocused on higher-value work
HOW

Our method in 2 weeks

  • Agent interviews: each employee maps their actual work (30-45 min)
  • Process mining on ERP entry journals and application logs
  • Costing of 6 priority use cases: impact × feasibility × cost score
  • Production rollout validated at every step by our senior chartered accountant

Act V

Getting started

Locate your maturity level, choose your entry point, and start with a no-commitment diagnostic.

AI maturity scale

  1. Tier 1

    Ad hoc use

AI remains occasional, individual and ungoverned.

  2. Most organisations

    Tier 2

    Fragmented initiatives

Tools help, but remain local and unshared.

  3. Tier 3

    Integrated AI

AI supports core processes, with human review.

  4. Tier 4

    AI-native operating model

AI executes at scale; humans validate and arbitrate.

Four tiers separate isolated experimentation from the AI-native operating model. Most organisations remain on the first two: our role is to take you to the next tier, with proof.

We take you to the next tier.

Diagnosis, prioritisation, first agent in production in 2 weeks. Each step is validated by an expert.

Objections & questions

Consulting produces a static roadmap at the end of a workshop lasting a few days. SHIFTLABS has the analytical work carried out by AI agents at scale, then has every deliverable validated by a human expert. The result: a first agent in production in 2 weeks (vs ~5 months for a traditional diagnostic), a diagnostic that is continuously refreshed rather than a static report, at a fraction of the cost.

The AI analysis is carried out in the European Union by default (Mistral, France), and both the application runtime and data storage are in the Paris region. Your data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) with a key that only we hold. The exact list of our subprocessors, including countries, is published in our privacy policy and kept up to date.

Architecture: logical segregation per organisation (every access filtered by customer ID, separate files per customer), encryption in transit and at rest. Your data is never used to train a SHIFTLABS model ; the inference provider is bound by its contractual terms, referenced in the DPA.

Compliance: DPA (art. 28) available as a draft version, provided at contract signature; AI Act — transparency obligations under Article 50 applied (every interview states that it is conducted with an AI). On the Enterprise offer, Microsoft/SAML SSO, differentiated roles and reinforced isolation are scoped with your CIO and built under the contract; they are not available as standard today.

It is the first operational obstacle of any AI transformation, and we address it from the start, not at the end. Our three-step approach:

  1. Transparent communication from day 1: teams understand the objective (removing tedious tasks, not people), how data is collected and how it is used. Consent is individual and explicit.
  2. Managed reallocation: every automated task is mapped to a higher-value activity. Deliverables are at task/process level (never at individual level), which protects employees from any punitive use.
  3. Support for managers: structured upskilling, real-time adoption dashboards and follow-up rituals (fortnightly reviews) so that managers become the first relays of change, not its brakes.

These principles draw on the published change-management literature. The sourced figures appear above, in the “Problem” section.

Yes, and we are transparent about the actual state of things. Today: hosting in the Paris region, data segregated per organisation, encryption in transit and at rest, and your data is never used to train a SHIFTLABS model. On the Enterprise offer, SSO, differentiated roles and reinforced isolation are scoped with your CIO and built under the contract; they are not available as standard today. We document the architecture precisely for your due diligence.

No: the architecture is model-independent, and switching provider requires no change to the product. By default, analysis is entrusted to Mistral, hosted in France, for 100% EU inference. Another engine, European or not, would only be activated after informing your DPO beforehand (DPA, art. 6): you are never locked in.

First findings from the first week. A first agent is in production from week 2, executive committee readout included.

No, because raw volume and deliverables are not validated in the same way. The volume processed by the AI (verbatims, logs, data points) is self-checked and sampled by risk. But every deliverable handed to the client, without exception, is reviewed and validated by an expert before publication: that is our expert review, every time. The reason this does not cap throughput is not the number of reviewers, it is risk-driven review: the AI self-checks the routine, and human judgement focuses on high-stakes deliverables, prioritisation, costing and roadmap.

No. The objective is to remove tedious, repetitive tasks, not people. Summaries are aggregated by activity/process, never used to rate or sanction an individual, and the support includes upskilling and reallocation. This is written into the consent and reflected in the deliverables (task level, not person level).

The cockpit and the website are available in French and English.
